Sarah Weeksarah Weeks has written more than fifty picture books and novels for children and young adults. She is a graduate of Hampshire College and NYU and has served for many years as an adjunct faculty member in the prestigious Writing Program at the New School University in New York City, as well as teaching master classes at Columbia University's Teacher's College.

Ms. Weeks' tour de force novel, So B. It (HarperCollins 2004) has won many awards, including the Parent's Gold Choice Award and the Rebecca Caudill Award. In 2015, So B. It was adapted into a feature length film, which premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival starring Alfre Woodard and Talitha Bateman, directed by Stephen Gyllenhaal. Her middle grade novels PIE and HONEY, have appeared on numerous state award lists and her newest novel, Save Me a Seat, co-written with first time author Gita Varadarajan was warmly received and universally praised by educators both here and abroad. Ms. Weeks' numerous picture books include Mrs. McNosh Hangs Up Her Wash, Glamourpuss, and the upcoming Lizzie McTizzy. She has written a number of I CAN READ titles, including the popular Mac and Cheese series. Her current works in progress include Soof, the long-awaited sequel to So B. Ms. Weeks has been published by HarperCollins, Scholastic, Simon & Schuster, Harcourt, and Dial Books. In addition to her writing, Sarah visits thousands of children in elementary and middle schools across the country each year, speaking to students and teachers about her books.
