Iong ago and far, far away — well, Los Angeles, actually — Kevin Diller started out as a screenwriter and playwright before turning to producing TV commercials for a living.  Fatherhood brought him back to writing and his first children’s book, “Hello, My Name Is Octicorn,” was published by HarperCollins in spring of 2016.  (His second book, “Chicken Chicken,” will be published by Scholastic in 2017.)

Mr. Diller lives in Portland, Oregon, with his wife, Marni and their two children, Frances Grace Diller Beardsley and Milo Edward Diller Beardsley, who they love more than anything in the world and to whom they apologize for the absurdly long names.

Kevin Diller is represented by Elena Giovinazzo.
