Sarah Weeksarah Weeks has written more than forty picture books and novels for children and young adults. She is a graduate of Hampshire College and NYU and is currently an adjunct faculty member in the prestigious Writing Program at the New School University in New York City.

Ms. Weeks' tour de force novel, So B. It (HarperCollins 2004) has won many awards, including the Parent's Gold Choice Award. Jumping the Scratch (HarperCollins 2006) was a Book Sense 2006 Summer Children's Pick, and the much anticipated As Simple As it Seems (HarperCollins 2010) arrives in bookstores in May. She has written three popular series for middle grade readers: Oggie Cooder (Scholastic), Regular Guy (HarperCollins) and Boyds Will be Boyds (Scholastic). Ms. Weeks' numerous picture books include Mrs. McNosh Hangs up Her Wash, If I Were a Lion, and Crocodile Smile. Her two most recent additions are Woof, A Love Story (HarperCollins) and Sophie Peterman Tells the Truth (Beach Lane Books / Simon & Schuster.) She is currently working on a new novel for Scholastic called Pie

 She has written a number of I CAN READ titles, including the popular Pip Squeak series and her newest contribution, Macaroni and Cheese. She has published with HarperCollins, Scholastic, Simon & Schuster, Harcourt, and Dial Books. Ms. Weeks' titles have sold well over two million copies including several foreign editions.

In 2006 Sarah helped found A.R.T. (Author’s Readers Theatre), a group of traveling authors that includes Avi, Pam Munoz Ryan, Richard Peck, Brian Selznick, Walter Dean Meyers, Sharon Creech, Katherine Patterson and herself. They have been invited to perform dramatic staged readings at venues such as ALA, TLA, NCTE and PLA, and are currently booking into the year 2011. For more about A. R. Sarah is a tireless promoter, visiting schools throughout the country, talking to children about writing, reading her books, serving as author-in-residence, and speaking to teachers and librarians at national conferences and literary events. She lives in Nyack New York.
