ounded by identical twin brothers Peter & Paul Reynolds, FableVision (www.fablevision.com) has emerged as the go-to, next-generation studio for the development of transmedia educational & entertainment properties, as well as a pioneer of new forms of storytelling across both traditional and emerging platforms.

Located at the Boston Children’s Museum, under the leadership of President Gary Goldberger, FableVision Studios creates a wide variety of media and multimedia—including robust websites, digital games, animation, iPhone apps, interactive whiteboards, and much more.  Its partnerships and clients include PBS, Maryland Public Television, MIT Education Arcade, Sesame Workshop, Scholastic, KCET, Children’s Hospital Trust, Carnegie Hall, National Academy of Sciences, WGBH, Random House, Simon & Schuster, McGraw-Hill, Crayola, Pearson, Girl Scouts of the USA, and The Jim Henson Company.

FableVision has won many industry awards for its original products and film adaptations of Peter H. Reynolds’ books, including the 2008 Parents Choice Gold and Silver Awards, 2008 Editor's Choice Award from Children's Software Review, 2008 NAPPA Gold Award from National Parenting Publications, ALA/ALSC 2006 Notable Software Award, 2006 Parent’s Choice Recommendation, 2005 Carnegie Medal of Excellence, 2003 Scholastic’s Instructor Magazine–Best Product List, and the Children’s Software & New Media Revue Award–Best of 2003.

FableVision's educational publishing group, FableVision Learning, distributes its award-winning K-12 software products around the world.  Among its offerings are Peter H. Reynolds' Animation-ish™, BrainCogs™, Essay Express™, SmartMoves™ Stationery Studio® and Get A Clue®--all of which are designed to promote creativity, writing, reading, and essential 21st century skills.

One of FableVision's current ventures includes a co-production with Scholastic/Weston Woods for an animated film adaptation of Peter H. Reynolds' classic book The North Star narrated by actor Tim Curry to be released in 2010.  As another extension of its original transmedia property ZebraFish, (which already includes ten animated Webisodes & an online quest game) FableVision is launching a ZebraFish visual novel with Simon & Schuster's Atheneum Books. Also in the works with Atheneum is Charlie & the Kiwi, a picture book based on a science exhibit originally featured at the New York Hall of Science.

FableVision is excited about its partnership with Pippin Properties as it grows its cross-media ventures in the years ahead.   As the industry evolves dramatically over the next decade, expect FableVision and Pippin to lead the way to the very best chapters ahead.
